Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and strategic Content Strategy Director to focus on the content needs of our products and partnerships to support the enterprise value proposition story of creating measurable behavior change at the point of care. This role involves crafting and executing content strategies that effectively engage target audiences, and drive market success. The ideal candidate will be adept at research, content strategy and execution, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that our new content initiatives are launched with impactful and compelling messaging to drive intended effect.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop Content Strategies: Create and implement content strategies tailored to new product or strategic campaign launches. Align content plans with product goals, target audience insights, and overall marketing strategies.
- Audience Research: Apply company research to understand customer needs, experience design and product requirements. Utilize these insights to inform content development and positioning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product managers, marketing teams, content editors and designers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and compelling content that supports product launches and promotional activities.
- Partnership Team Collaboration: Serve as content team point of contact for prioritized medical association collaborations to maximize value of overall engagement for the enterprise
- Content Planning and Execution: Develop strategic plans across product, partner or behavior change marketing priorities. Package and share activities to internal and external clients and customers.
- New Vendor Management: Serve as the external and internal point person for New Content Vendor assessment, piloting, and contracting. Demonstrate ability to source new content vendors, evaluate offerings relative to our content approach and library, and drive engagement from initial outreach to final contract execution and content ingestion.
- Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, content marketing best practices, and emerging technologies. Apply new ideas and techniques to enhance content effectiveness.
- Content Measurement: Collaborate with data and analytics and insights teams to establish quality and quantitative measurement plans to gauge the effectiveness of strategic content campaigns and/or new concepts.
- Competitive analysis: Serve as department SME regarding competitive content offerings in POC and our ability to position the PatientPoint offering in a differentiated way.
- Content methodology/Behavior change expertise: Serve as the department SME regarding behavior change science and content creation methodologies that can enhance the effectiveness of content motivating patient action
- Creative concept/writing: Lead, shape and/or create fresh and creative approaches and copy for campaigns on key topics that span our product portfolio.
What We Need:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in content strategy or content marketing, with a focus on consumer health content.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute content strategies that drive engagement and meet business objectives.
- Research Skills: Strong research skills to analyze data and harness insights on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive positioning.
- Content Creation: Proficiency in creating diverse content types and adapting messaging for different audiences and channels.
- Collaboration: Excellent teamwork skills with experience working across departments to align content with product and marketing goals.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze content performance data and make data-driven decisions to improve strategies.
- Metadata and Technology Savvy: Experience and comfort with utilizing content management, creation and AI emerging tools and technologies and familiarity with applications of metadata to content libraries.
Desired Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a health related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in content strategy or digital marketing are a plus.
- Industry Experience: Experience in patient education, understanding clinical terminology, and general health education is highly valued. Focus on specific condition(s) a plus.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), taxonomies, SEO principles, and digital marketing tools. Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus.
- Metadata Experience: Familiarity with medical codes is a plus (ICD-10, etc)
- Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating successful content strategies and executions for new products/initiatives or similar projects.
